coming fall of 2023
Construction of the Blount County Multi-Purpose Building is slated to be completed by August 2023. Located in Cleveland, Alabama, the facilities will house the Alabama Cooperative Extension Center and the Blount County Economic Development Council. Students in Blount County will also have access to an advanced agricultural classroom. Wallace State Community College will also have classes there. Featured will also be an arena for rodeos, horse and cattle shows, the Blount County Fair, and a staging area for emergency situations for local officials and FEMA. The new facility will have a modern appearance with a farm-style design. Located in the center of Blount County, the facility will be easily accessible to all citizens. Lathan Associates is the architect for the facilities.
